Video Dimensions Error

There are several reasons why you might see a video dimensions error when using Video Surgeon.

1. There are a small number of video files that use a video encoding technique that are not compatible with the AVI file format that Video Surgeon uses internally to manipulate files.  If this is the reason there is no way to fix this incompatibility.

2.  A permissions issue could cause a video dimensions error message. For example, if you are logged into your PC on one profile, and you are attempting to open a video in Video Surgeon that is stored within another user's profile, you might encounter this error.  The solution would be to move this video to YOUR profile and then attempt to open it again.

3. In Vista, this error has been encountered when the file names used are extremely long.  If you are using a very long name, you should shorten it then try opening it again and see if this solves the problem.
