If Song Surgeon is crashing or closing unexpectedly and you have Bitdefender, please try the following
as a potential solution.

1. Opened BitDefender.
2. In Ransomware module, click the link that says, Exception


3. After opening Exceptions Window, I the click the link that says"  Add a new application to the list.
I think browse to the location of SS on the machine which is here:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Song Surgeon 5
I select the Song Surgeon application.  I also added a couple of child processes used by SS by like FFmpeg
and keyfinder but I don't think that is necessary.

4. After that close SS and then opened again and played a file and see it plays
without crashing.
