System Recording Setup for XP SP3
Posted by James Todd (Import) on 13 May 2013 12:31 PM
As we have noted in other Knowledge base articles, the set up for recording system
audio is different for every machine, and on older XP machines, the configuration is
more complex that on newer OS's like Windows 7. Here is a step by step setup from
one XP machine, that might be of assistance.

a) After the SS Record window is displayed b)Clicked on "Record Level..." c)XP "Recording Control" displayed d)Clicked on Options>Properties e)Clicked all check boxes (Mono and Stereo Mixer were not checked) f)Set "Adjust volume for" to "Recording", clicked OK g)In Recording Control, clicked check box for Stereo Mixer h)Clicked Options, Exit or the X

If you haven't viewed the other knowledge base articles on recording or viewed the
video tutorials (Help Button >> Training Videos) we encourage you to do this.
