opened a video and playing it but the timeline indicator does not move.

 If you are having problems with a the timeline indicator not moving, even though the video is playing, please try the following: Close the program. Drag it to the trash. Then download and reinstall the most recent version. You can find it in the Downloads Section of this Help desk.
